What are the common treatments of blepharitis?

Treatments include daily eyelid scrubs, warm compresses, artificial tears and occasionally, oral medication. Omega 3 fatty acid supplementation (fish oil, flax seed oil) can alleviate symptoms and decrease inflammation.

What causes blepharitis?

Blepharitis is present in almost all eyelids, bunt not everybody experiences symptoms. Drynenss and irritation are most commonly found in Caucasian, blue-eyed patients of Northern European descent.
